The David Guetta Playlist

Daily from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm

The David Guetta Playlist

Genre – House, Tech-House, Techno, Tribal

French electronic music producer David Guetta rose to prominence atop the sparkling wave of DJs who combined Daft Punk’s sleek house music with a pinch of electroclash punch at the start of the 21st century. Achieving international crossover success during the late-2000s EDM boom with chart-toppers One Love and Nothing But the Beat, his house anthems became fixtures on the dance charts into the 2010s, often featuring famous names from the worlds of pop and rap, including frequent collaborators Nicki Minaj, Sam Martin, Sia, Chris Willis, Rihanna, Kelly Rowland, and Afrojack. Along with the latter two artists, Guetta also won a pair of Grammy Awards in 2011.

A native of Paris, the artist born Pierre David Guetta had been DJ’ing around France playing popular tunes, but his brain was particularly rewired in 1987 when he heard a Farley Jackmaster Funk track on French radio. He taped the track, brought a copy to a gig, and promptly cleared the floor with it during one of his own sets. Things loosened up a year later when acid house came to France and Guetta successfully promoted his own club nights. It was during one of those nights in 1992 that he met Robert Owens, a Chicago-based house legend who was touring Europe at the time. Guetta played Owens some of his own tracks, and Owens picked one he liked enough to sing over. The result was “Up and Away,” a minor hit that lurked in garage DJ crates for the next four years.

Guetta’s carefree attitude — that he only produces good music while he’s having casual fun — kept the DJ from releasing anything until 2001’s “Just a Little More Love.” The track featured American gospel singer Chris Willis, who’d met Guetta while on vacation in France. Another slow burner, “Just a Little More Love,” kept popping up in sets for the next two years, first in an electro version and later in a pumped-up Wally Lopez remix. During this time, Guetta snuck out a bootleg remix of David Bowie’s “Heroes,” retitled “Just for One Day.” Bowie gave the go-ahead to release the track officially, and Guetta soon had a massive hit on his hands. Guetta featured the liberated boot on his first mix CD, Fuck Me I’m Famous, named after Guetta’s successful Ibiza-based party.

The fun-loving slacker DJ finally got around to releasing a collection of his own productions in 2004, Just a Little More Love on Astralwerks. Guetta Blaster arrived that same year, followed by Poplife in 2007. Chris Willis sang lead vocals on the latter album, which spun off multiple dance singles in multiple countries. Fuck Me I’m Famous: International, Vol. 2 was then released in July 2008, giving listeners a taste of the stylish sounds that orchestrated Guetta’s summer club events in Ibiza. A year later he released One Love, a platinum-selling album featuring the singles “When Love Takes Over” with Kelly Rowland, “Sexy Bitch” with Akon, and “Gettin’ Over” with Chris Willis.

In 2010, Guetta received five nominations at the 52nd Grammy Awards, two of them related to the One Love album and the other three for his work on the Black Eyed Peas’ massive worldwide hit “I Gotta Feeling.” That same year, One Love was reissued as One More Love, featuring a bonus disc of remixes and new tracks. A superstar guest list — featuring Akon, Lil Wayne, Flo Rida, Usher, Chris Brown, and others — would figure into his 2011 release, Nothing But the Beat, but this time the DJ’s songwriting was inspired by dramatic rock bands like Coldplay. In 2014, Guetta released three singles on his own Jack Back label, all of which were rounded up on that year’s Lovers on the Sun EP. Later that year Guetta released his sixth studio album, Listen. Perhaps as a reaction to inadvertently finding himself a sort of unofficial godfather to the burgeoning EDM movement, the album saw him branching out of his electro-house comfort zone, experimenting with elements of hip-hop, alternative rock, R&B, and acoustic instrumentation, and featuring guest artists as diverse as Nicki Minaj, Emeli Sandé, Sia, the Script, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo. In 2015, the LP was reissued as Listen Again with new songs and remixes added to the track list, including “Bang My Head” featuring Fetty Wap and Sia.

Over the next few years, Guetta issued a continuous stream of singles. In 2016, notable releases included the official UEFA Euro anthem “This One’s for You” featuring Zara Larsson, which topped the charts in France, Germany, and Switzerland; “Shed a Light” with Robin Schulz and Cheat Codes; and “No Worries” with Disciples. The following year, Guetta issued a handful of additional collaborations with Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne (“Light My Body Up”), Afrojack (“Another Life”), Justin Bieber (the platinum “2U”), Kiiara (“Complicated”), and Charli XCX and French Montana (“Dirty Sexy Money”). He kicked off 2018 with a pair of Sia collaborations (a remix of “Helium” and “Flames”), while also scoring another Top Ten hit for “Mad Love” with Sean Paul and Becky G. His seventh set, the aptly-titled 7, arrived in September. In addition to including a some of his previously released singles — “2U” and “Flames” among them — Guetta also recruited Anne-Marie, Bebe Rexha, J Balvin, Jason Derulo, Martin Garrix, Jess Glynne, Steve Aoki, Lil Uzi Vert, G-Eazy, and many more for the effort. A bonus second disc of material was also bundled with 7, collecting a dozen tracks recorded as his alter ego Jack Back. Early 2019 saw Guetta team up with Spanish DJ Tom Staar for the single “This Ain’t Techno.”

Darklight Sessions With Fedde Le Grand

Darklight Sessions With Fedde Le Grand

Genre – House, Tech-House, Techno, Tribal

Enjoying artistic freedom afforded only an elite few, Fedde Le Grand is a masterful pioneer of electronica, considered by countless fans and artists as one of the single most defining figures in house music. Whether as DJ or producer, Fedde’s influence can be felt throughout the electronic landscape; his creative beats, grooves, melodies and rhythms surround us.

Back in 2006, it was the seminal electro track ‘Put Your Hands Up For Detroit’ that not only brought Le Grand to global attention, but breathed fresh life into a stagnant house scene. Dubbed by many as the “Saviour of House”, it soon became evident that the Dutchman was no one-trick pony. Amongst others, tracks like ‘Let Me Think About It’, ‘Control Room’, ‘Sparks’, his remixes of Coldplay’s ‘Paradise’ and EBTG’s ‘Missing’, ‘The Creeps’, ‘So Much Love’, ‘Metrum’, ‘Autosave’, ‘Back & Forth’, ‘RAW’ and lastly his amazing remix for Nikki Williams’ ‘Glowing’ have established him as one of the most exciting and consistent talents around, demonstrating his effortless ability to move seamlessly between huge mainstream success and edgier, underground sounds. His 2009 debut artist album ‘Output’ was released in an incredible 64 countries worldwide, establishing him as one of the foremost creative forces in electronic music, while 2011 saw him accomplish a record-breaking 5 Beatport #1 tracks – including his reworking of ‘Paradise’ which earned him an opening set for Chris Martin’s super-band in Madrid. Increasingly in demand for his remix skills, Fedde’s talents have been called upon by a host of musical superstars, including Madonna, Coldplay and Robbie Williams to Will.i.am, Moby and Fatboy Slim.

Not only indulging in his own perfectionist musical tendencies, Fedde also nurtures new talent through his Flamingo imprint, using his years of hard-earned experience to push them towards superstardom. Nicky Romero, Deniz Koyu and Danny Avila are just some of the fledging talents that Fedde has already helped explode into the mainstream, and 2013 looks set to continue the trend with unknown artists set to breakthrough under Fedde’s guiding hand.

Outside of the studio and around the globe hundreds of thousands have witnessed show-stopping live sets that explode with ingenuity and originality. Huge performances across continents are par for the course for Le Grand, with the likes of Coachella, Exit Festival, Global Gathering, Electric Zoo, Mysteryland, Tomorrowland, Electric Daisy Carnival, Future Music and many more firmly under his belt. His residency at London’s Ministry of Sound has become renowned as a world-class showcase of electro and house, continually selling out to roadblock crowds; his set at Ultra Music Festival 2012 was widely hailed as the best across the mammoth weekend, and to add a final much-lauded feather to his already crammed cap, he holds the coveted position as global headline resident for the jaw-dropping Sensation parties.

In 2012 Fedde announced the expansion of his critically-acclaimed Dark Light Sessions radio show from its birthplace in the US on broadcasting behemoth SiriusXM to stations across the planet, with countries as far spread as Brazil, Australia, Germany, New Zealand, Poland, Romania, Russia and more now receiving his blistering 60 minute mix on a weekly basis, earning the Dutchman an increasing hold on major dance music markets around the world.

Yet through all the success – the international chart-topping heights and global DJ fame – Fedde’s focus is simply fixed on making and playing great tracks. His dedication to music and his unwavering passion for the dancefloor continue to make him an intrinsic and dominant part of the ever-evolving electronic scene. A touchstone, an inspiration and a pioneer; he is definitive, he is essential, he is house music at its finest. He is Fedde Le Grand.

Sebastiaan Hooft Presents Redesign Radio

Sebastiaan Hooft Presents Redesign Radio

Genre – House, EDM, Dance, Tech-House, Techno, Progressive

Dutch DJ/producer and label-owner Sebastiaan Hooft has ever dedicated his life to music – following the only way a true musician knows: up. More than twenty years after gracing the decks at school parties in front of his friends, he’s traded the school’s gym for Amsterdam’s super clubs, performances in Tel Aviv, Miami Beach, Ibiza, Prague and Berlin and the launch of his very own Redesign Records label and Redesign radio show. With years of experience in entrepreneurship, he knows exactly how to fuel his one, relentless passion in life: music.

From recording video tapes and cassettes to selling his own mixtapes on the school’s playground. Sebastiaan grew up an ambitious teenager with a taste for the eclectic and a talent for mixing. As the local go-to guy for music, he became his own record label and found a creative way to expand his record collection and fund his first turntables. In the meantime, he took on a job at the local record store, helping customers that would one day be some of the world’s most popular DJ’s. Those were the early steps of an impressive career and the first signs of Sebastiaan’s inner entrepreneur. His clever trades and determined mind would be the foundation to many big things ahead.

Fast forward twenty years and Sebastiaan looks back on a career as one of the most successful business persons in The Netherlands, having set up more than twenty companies. But despite his success, he led a stressful and unhappy life. 2010 brought a turning point, when he ended up in the hospital with serious health issues. That very moment, he knew change was coming. And found that music was still on his side. Besides selling his companies, giving the profit to charity and travelling the globe to share his story with start-ups & managers – building a foundation to his book – he took a deep dive back into music. He set his mind to it, rediscovered the decks and locked himself up in the studio, coached by many industry pro’s – all to recapture the art of music. With persistence, determination and a new-found spark, Sebastiaan climbed back in business – music business.

Eager to build a strong community of like-minded music lovers, he launched his very own Redesign Records in 2015. It became the home to many of the scene’s rising talents and heroes, as well as being an outlet for his own originals. Clocking up more than 250K plays on Spotify in just 2017, ‘Super Me’, ‘Temple’ and ‘Money on the Table’ were given a warm welcome by the next generation of music lovers – carrying a sound that belongs nowhere else but on today’s dance floors. Supported by fellow DJ producers, such as Don Diablo, Martin Garrix and Sam Feldt, Sebastiaan recently kicked off his weekly Redesign Radio show — reaching 40 million listeners per month. With electronic dance music woven into his DNA, it’s a second nature for Sebastiaan to share his vision on what good music sounds like. With a sound that captures the full spectrum of house music, from deep bass matters and melodic ways, his sets and originals are well-balanced and invite the listener to think outside the box.

Where perfection, passion and persistency meet, is exactly where you’ll find this inspiring DJ, producer and entrepreneur. Living his legacy, Sebastiaan Hooft is more eager than ever before to hold on to his first love and share it with the rest of the world.

About Warp Brothers

Following a five year interlude from the studio and turntables, the giant void left by the legendary Warp Brothers has finally been filled and the silence finally shattered.
The duo are exploding back on to the electronic music scene again with a bang proving the wait has definitely been worth it.

Rewind to the year 2000 and the release of their first single ‘Phatt Bass’, The Warp Brothers were catapulted to the forefront of innovative techno/electro music after the track smashed dance charts worldwide and was used as the epic opening soundtrack of the Hollywood blockbuster ‘Blade’. It’s not only become a club anthem but an iconic piece of music that’s still doing the business 15 years later.

Despite the almost overnight success of Phatt Bass, the Warp Brothers were never destined to be a one hit wonder following it up with smashes such as ‘We Will Survive’ which reached top 10 in several countries including the UK and Germany, ‘Blast The Speakers’, ‘Cokane’, ‘Going Insane’, and being an official re-working of Nirvana’s anthem “Smells like teen spirit”.

Shortly after their incredible early success, the pair took the Warp Brothers sound around the world from USA to Australia, Columbia to Japan, Ibiza to South Africa all while playing at the world‘s biggest festivals and clubs.

Besides their own original productions, the Warp Brothers have been called upon for remix duties on countless tracks with over 750 releases worldwide.

After the huge success of “Phatt Bass 2016” (#1 at Beatport) the Warp Brothers are on the road again. They’ve already smashed Australia’s Summer Session Festival in Darwin, Tomorrowland Brasil , closing party for Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike “House of Madness” at Amnesia Ibiza, Ageha – Tokyo, Sky Garden – Bali and many more.

Their schedule sees them busier than ever with a diary filled with both long and short haul tour adventures.

The Warp Brothers latest tracks are regularly found in the sets and radio playlists of the world’s biggest artists and radioshows. These names include the likes of Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Ummet Ozcan, David Guetta, Tiesto, Wolfpack, Galantis, Steve Aoki, Hardwell, W&W, Armin van Buuren, Blasterjaxx, Dash Berlin and many, many others.

Their sixth sense for connecting with the crowd through their music is their great weapon. They take the dancefloor to a climax which always makes them repeat their visit to every club they go to play. Their DJ mission is to provide their dance floors with exactly what they want to hear, making them incredibly popular with the commercial music clubbers and big room house lovers alike.

Ferry’s Fix With Ferry Corsten

Friday and Saturday from 9:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Ferry’s Fix with Ferry Corsten

Genre – Trance, Uplifting Trance, Progressive Trance

About Ferry’s Fix

Ferry Corsten’s one-hour monthly radio mixshow is known as Ferry’s Fix and airs on the leading Internet, terrestrial and satellite radio stations worldwide. The format of Ferry’s Fix contrasts entirely from Corsten’s hugely successful and long-running “Corsten’s Countdown” show, and consists of a straight DJ mix of continuous music with just a short personal introduction from Ferry.

Each episode of Ferry’s Fix allows Ferry to let loose where it’s as much about the segues and context of music than simply the tracks on their own. And with an artist as prolific as Ferry Corsten behind the decks, listeners are sure to hear many of Corsten’s own original productions.

Ferry has this to say about the production: “My Ferry’s Fix show is for all those fans who’d been asking me for years to do a straight-up DJ mix, something that brings the club into their cars, ear-buds or living rooms. Ferry’s Fix is totally different and unique from my Corsten’s Countdown show which continues unchanged. Ferry’s Fix gives a stage to all of the killer music I find each month that perhaps doesn’t fit into the format of Corsten’s Countdown. I want to give listeners a full hour of the best upfront tunes, hottest remixes, classics or unexpected goodies in the format of a pure DJ mix with Ferry’s Fix. It’s almost like making a new mix CD for each episode of Ferry’s Fix, so it’s a lot of work, but I hope you enjoy it!”

His unique brand of sexy house music has ruled dance floors for 20 years, regularly crashing into the charts across the world. As a DJ his ability to move a crowd has seen him travel the globe, rocking parties everywhere from Sydney to San Francisco to Seoul to Sao Paolo.

In October 2004, StoneBridge released a long awaited debut artist album ‘Can’t Get Enough’, which received overwhelming international acclaim, selling huge amounts and spawning the massive hit singles ‘Put ‘Em High’ and ‘Take Me Away’, both hitting the UK Top 10. With fans around the world desperate for more StoneBridge released his follow up artist album ‘Music Takes Me’ in 2007 to similar ecstatic reaction with the singles ‘SOS’, ‘You Don’t Know’ and ‘Close To Heaven’. In 2010 StoneBridge released his third artist album ‘The Morning After’ with the title track and second single ‘Trip’en’ having continued the StoneBridge success story, blasting out of radios everywhere and charting highly across the world.

Born in Stockholm, StoneBridge began DJ’ing in the early eighties, spinning funk and disco at his own night, ‘Fellini’. After hearing the innovative sounds of house music coming from Chicago in the mid 80’s, StoneBridge immediately knew where his future lay and made an official switch to house, starting to remix tracks with a crew of other local DJs under the name SweMix. Their reputation grew and soon StoneBridge began remixing international acts like De La Soul, Titiyo and Rebel MC. However, it was with his remix of Robin S ‘Show Me Love’ in 1993, that StoneBridge established himself as a world class remixer and producer. The record went on to become one of the biggest selling house records of all time and before long some of the world’s biggest names in music were looking for the magical StoneBridge touch to remix their records. The list of artists StoneBridge has remixed reads like a who’s who of music; artists such as Lenny Kravitz, Missy Elliott, Robbie Williams, Usher, Simple Minds, Cher, Will Smith, Texas, Patti Labelle, Taio Cruz, Ne-Yo and Debbie Harry.

Most recently it was StoneBridge who was asked to remix ‘Gimme More’ the comeback single from Britney Spears connecting Britney to the dance floors once again as only he knows how followed by the Grammy nominated remix of Ne-Yo ‘Closer’, the UK Top 40 Number ones Lily Allen ‘The Fear’, Cruz ‘Dynamite’, Alexandra Burke ‘Start Without You’ and the #1 Billboard Hot Dance hit with Yoko Ono ’Give Me Something’ and Cher ‘You Haven’t Seen The Last of Me’ in 2010. Other recent StoneBridge remixes include Jazmin Sullivan ‘Dream Big’, Basement Jaxx ’My Turn’, Pussycat Dolls ft Missy Elliott ‘Whatcha Think About That’, Jennifer Hudson ‘If This Isn’t Love’ and The Saturdays ’Higher’. Fortchcoming remixes include, Olly Murs ’Heart On My Sleeve’, Robbie Rivera ’Departures’, The Stylistics ’I Can’t Give You Anything’ and productions for Crystal Waters and Swedish artitsts September and Danny.

As head of his own highly successful label Stoney Boy Music, StoneBridge continues to release club anthems with his special brand of peak time house and hot singles on the label include Matt Joko ‘Inside’, J-C ‘Touch Me’ and the forthcoming AstroShift ‘Tonight’. StoneBridge has also collaborated with Chris Kaeser and Anita Kelsey which resulted in a track called ‘Rescue Me’ that stayed in the main Beatport Top 10 for two weeks and just got signed to Hed Kandi for the world. Another collaboration with Chris Kaeser and Funky Junction titled ‘MDF’ will surface in early 2011.

Aside from guest appearances on various radio mix shows in Europe, StoneBridge is also hosting a weekly two-hour mix show called The Flavour The Vibe for Sirius XM in North America (www.sirius.com)m Electric Area Channel on Fridays 4 PM – 6 PM (ET). The show is also syndicated with a host of FM and internet based stations globally.

So, with a career that has already spanned two decades, StoneBridge shows no signs of slowing down, or losing the passion for house music that has given us so many great tunes. The StoneBridge story still has a long way to go…
